I forgot to say this... New Battery. I'm happy to regain the lost 2 hours out of this thing. ^.=.^

But I'm glad I still got my old drive back. However... It died... Good thing Apple gave me that HDD. I'm also glad I didn't work on placing back that Western Digital Drive, once again... I need to send something out. IT NEVER ENDS!!! DX

Turns out that one of the failed Apple Tests was the Hard Drive not containing the Apple firmware in it (I find it silly at first). Oh, I also got a new HDD (Hard Disk Drive) in the thing now... And it has official Apple HDD Firmware... And it's a good thing it's there... Almost fell out of luck on the failing WD on this one.

I also got my 8600M GT graphics card (the card that displays things on your computer screen, that was my main concern mostly) replaced and it still has the same specs as before, 256mb of vram. But runs as good as new.

So, what now? 9/11/09 is the day I get my Nintendo Wii back from a similar issue. But who cares it's a free repair? Seems so.

Anyway... Any questions regarding this journal, comment. I'll try to dub down the details if I have too. But only if you ask. Otherwise I wouldn't have a clue if you did catch any of this.

After a long and almost 2 weeks, my MacBook Pro has been fixed and is being sent back tonight. So I'll have it by tomorrow morning! ^.=.^

And that also means that I need to work on my website, it's in need of an update very badly by this weekend! I'll have to wait till I get Mediamix-Up fully operational before I upload it. As for my art site, it will be up and running by the weekend.

Also, on the 11th, I get my Nintendo Wii back from the repair shop... Now I can play my Bomberman Land game finally.

Lucky me!: The repairs for both of these machines are free. So I can't really complain - complain.

I've been working on my art for some time while I was at it. *Practice practice practice*
Improving somewhat... But still trying to improve some drawing flaws. I'll talk about this later... XD

Oh, and for any questions on what my Mediamix-Up site will be about (NOT asking offline pals here) don't hesitate to comment. I'll reply.

[link] - Regarding a NVidia 8600M GT GPU (Graphics card) issue.

Yup... I'm screwed. Well, I almost got screwed when I went about Six towns away just to get to the Apple store when they said that they'll charge me $310 for a GPU fix even tho it's supposed to be covered even with no Apple Care.

I called tech support to complain about the common NVidia Graphic Chip issue and pointed to that document on their support site. So they are going to repair my MacBook Pro free of charge (they better). I mean, you can search google and see the issue all over the place with not just Apple... HP, Dell, Sony, etc. Computers are affected by the NVidia 8600M GT Graphics card "Bad Bump" issues.

All I have to do is just wait for the box to show up and on to the repair center it goes. *sigh* Now I'm stuck with an aging iBook G3 and Adobe CS. Or my 3 Ghz PC with Photoshop 7.

Personally, I'd rather use Photoshop CS4, GPU support in the program for me is a plus when doing images for my website and coloring in my artwork. (I'll never dare to try it on my old iBook... Slow and painful.)


My Nintendo Wii also suffers an interesting GPU (Graphics card) issue, however it's made by ATI (and the issue has already been resolved). Dots on my HDTV screen. It was an issue with the launch date Nintendo Wii's. But man, It's taking forever to get that thing shipped just for a fix. DX

Parking at my college was a pain too. Urg... Good thing they offered me a parking spot at a different lot next to the college.

Other then that... It just seems that this week has it out for me. -.=.-;;
